The Roaring Fork Kayaking Club is offering this FREE Women's Class II Whitewater Kayaking course to strengthen and grow the community of female paddlers in the Roaring Fork Valley.
Great refresher and confidence builder for female kayakers with some river experience wanting to improve their paddling skills and connect with other local paddlers who are at a similar skill, comfort and motivational level.
We will work on refining your paddling technique, including balance, posture, reading water, catching eddies and peeling out, ferrying and basic paddle strokes to improve how you move your kayak through whitewater. We’ll help you build the skills, confidence and network you need to paddle our local rivers.
Just like for the pool sessions this winter, you are welcome to bring your own equipment, but we also have a fleet of boats and equipment for you to use.
The number of spots is limited, make sure to call Vida at 970-274-8763 or email roaringforkkayakclub@gmail.com to reserve your spot soon!
